5 Easy Baby Led Weaning Breakfast Ideas:

I just love Baby Led Weaning! It really has changed the way I think about food. If you haven’t read the book, you really should. It might change the way you think about introducing food too!  My favorite chapter is the one that talks about the history of baby food.  Did you know that up until about the 19th century baby food was made in the home?

If you’re thinking about starting with Baby Led Weaning (BLW), breakfast is a great place to start! While going upon my journey with baby led weaning I came up with some breakfast recipes that worked well for me.  If you are just starting out, I hope you find them helpful. Let me know what you think!

Greek Yogurt Dots

These are great if you need something easy, see the full post about them here

  • 1/2 c. Greek Yogurt (I like to use Fage)
  • 2 T. Baby Oatmeal Cereal
  • 1 squeezy pouch of your choice (I went with something fruity, but it doesn’t really matter)
  1. Put 1/2 c. Greek Yogurt and 2 T. Baby Oatmeal Cereal into a Ziplock bag and mix until combined
  2. Add in Squeezy Pouch (3.5-4oz.) and mix until well incorporated
  3. Remove air from the bag and make sure it is SEALED!
  4. Cut off a small corner of the bag and pipe dime sized piece onto a foil or parchment covered cookie sheet (In the picture, I actually used a sticky plastic wrap because that’s all I had. Foil is my favorite, because they come off so easily.)
  5. Place them in the freezer for at least an hour
  6. Remove from freezer and peel them off
  7. Place in a Ziplock bag and store in freezer
